Construction advances at three hospitals within the City of Health

The Office of Supervision for Public Works and the Minister of Public Health indicated that the work has advanced at the three hospitals under construction at the City of Health between 45% and 85%.  The three hospitals, under construction in North Santo Domingo, should be completed between March and August of next year and will provide the local health system with 800 new beds.  The tour through the site was realized by the minister of health, Dr. Bautista Rojas Gomez, the Director of the Office of Supervision for Public Works, Engineer Luis Sifres, and the representative of Carimex, Engineer Jose Ramon Brea, which is realizing the project.

Sifres explained the pediatric hospital is 85% complete and will include 212 beds, the maternity hospital is 70% complete and will include 200 beds, and the general hospital is 45% complete with a capacity for 250 beds.  The hospitals will include modern facilities with advanced and specialized medical equipment, which is already in the country.
